Café Solar® Solar available at ten Market Basket Stores

Dear Supporters of Fair Trade and Renewable Energy,

Our Fair Trade coffee is now available at ten area Market Basket stores. This is the first Fair-Trade product they have offered and we are encouraging folks to support the product to ensure that Market Basket continues to offer it in the future.

A list of the stores is provided below, along with a brief description of the coffee that was processed by cooperatives of small farmers in Costa Rica and Nicaragua that are the first to use industrial solar drying equipment manufactured in Lowell.

Café Solar® is dried using renewable energy technology that eliminates the use of firewood and fossil fuels to dry the coffee harvest. Your purchase of Café Solar® helps to reduce deforestation of Central America's remaining forests.

This Fair Trade certified coffee guarantees that farmers and their families receive a fair price for their product. Our Fair Trade Coffees are certified by TransFair USA.

This coffee is organically and shade grown --- cultivated entirely without pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers.
